Senator Raffy Tulfo personally visited the OFW Lounge which is in the pre departure area 4th level of NAIA terminal 1, when he arrived from abroad, he immediately went to the waiting area of OFWs who are leaving the country.
Coffee, water and snacks are all free in the Lounge, and snacks while the OFWs wait for their flights.
OWWA Administrator Arnelli Ignacio was praised for what he did to OFWs and MIAA management.
The Senator Tulfo suggests to OWWA and Airport management to OFWs, he requested that it be expanded so that the OFWs are not overcrowded and also checked the Rest Room of the said facility one by one, and Senator Tulfo also wants to have a bathroom for the OFWs.
During the interview of APC, he said that he is very happy because this was his dream for OFWs before, in fact in the senate he was the one who pushed to allocate budget for OFWs.
But senator Tulfo noticed that the OWWA staff personnel who was serving foods to OFWs and who take care of OFWs are underpaid and this is only a job order so he told OWWA Admin Ignacio to also adjust the salary of its personnel because they take care of OFWs but they the salary is small.
