Airport Cleaner found USD bills inside two socks

An airport cleaner at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on Thursday past 12 midnight found a pair of used socks under a gang chair at the South wing of the departure area right after the final security check-point as she swept it towards her.

Rosalinda Celero, airport cleaner assigned at the departure area of NAIA Terminal 3 south wing noticed a pair of socks under the hang chair which she took by using a dust pan and discovered US dollar bills in various denominations and immediately brought to the “Lost and Found Section” of NAIA Terminal 3 for verification.

Airport security from the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) immediately reviewed the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) to identify the possible owner of the socks that were left under the chair.

Upon inspection of the socks, it contains 100/50 and 20’s US dollar bills amounting to US$18, 800 or an equivalent to more or less a million pesos.

Airport authorities are looking for the possible owner who tried to bring out of the country more than allowed by the Central Bank of the Philippine which is P10 ,000 US dollars and how it passed the security check.

MIAA General Manager Eric Ines lauded Celero for being honest, hindi siya nag interest na itago kahit konti man lang ng US dollars.
