Why do some of the coterminous staff personnel of the Ex-Airport General Manager won’t file resignation?

Some of the staff & personnel brought by dismissed General Manager Cesar Chiong known as “coterminous” were not filing their resignation letter to give free hand to the New General manager to select their trusted staff.

According to the information rated in the APC, the said personnel allegedly talk to transport department officials asking if they can continue to be MIAA employees despite the usual process that when the official is new and the boss who brought or hired you is no longer there, you should leave to give the new General Manager the freedom to take over of his trustworthy person.

For example, the staff and personnel brought by Ex- MIAA General Manager Ed Monreal, a few days before the end of their term in the government, have submitted a resignation letter so that the new person who will be in charge of the airport can freely hire trusted personnel.

But now it’s the other way around. Their boss is gone, it seems like they don’t want to resign, that’s why the GM right now can’t act on his own and is hesitant to give orders inside his office because they are still the people around him he replaced.

As a consolation, they said that they will only study for one month to stay away or leave, and it will assist the performance if they like to stay or should resign.
