The Philippines is set to host the first and largest Expo Maritime Philippines Convention in 2024, focused on Cruise Travel Tourism and Maritime Careers
The convention, organized led by businesswoman Rachelle Lopez the Events , will take place on June 11-12 2024 at the prestigious SMX Convention Center in Mall of Asia Pasay City, Philippines.
With the increasing interest from both the government and maritime stakeholders, the convention aims to provide a platform for discussions and initiatives related to the promotion of Philippine Cruise ship Tourism travel.
Ms Lopez said, gusto namin na maranasan din ng ordinaryong Pilipino na makasakay sa Cruise Ship ” kasi ang unang naiisip pag cruise ship ay pang mayaman lang yan at ang makaka afford diyan” pero ang totoo hindi, kasi kung mag pupunta ka sa ibang bansa ticket eroplano at mag stay ka sa hotel at kumpara mo gastos sasakay ka ng cruise ship mas maganda sa loob ng barko para ka nasa hotel mga entertainment libre at pagkain unlimited”.
Aside from the primary objectives is to attract foreign investors in the maritime industry, including cruise tourism, cruise developments, shipbuilding and repairs, travel and tours, hotel and restaurant services, and other associated activities.
The convention will also focus on generating employment opportunities for the Filipino workforce.
As the Philippines becomes a sought-after port of call for different cruise liners, the projected increase in tourist arrivals presents immense potential for the local economy.
